Overview
The CBR-managed histology core features all necessary equipment for tissue sample processing and staining, including a Sakura Tissue-Tek VIP 5 tissue processor and a Leica CM1860 cryostat.

Cost: A list of fees can be found in the CBR Equipment and Services Usage Rates document.
Note: A fee waiver application is available for PIs without current external funding. The application may be completed and submitted to the CBR director prior to equipment use.
Required Training
All prospective users will be required to complete training before keycard access to the facility will be granted. Please contact Anna Chernatynskaya or Katie Tooley for more information and for required training.
Required training includes
- General laboratory safety training located under the EHS Training Index
- BSL-2 safety training (contact Michelle Bresnahan for training, mem@mst.edu)
- Training for all equipment

Any reagents and supplies required for non-H&E staining
The following item must be supplied by the PI if a histology fee waiver form has been approved or if use of the CBR-provided supplies is excessive.
